Age Group Training Days and Sites

WUSC has scheduled age group training days and age group training sites according to the program schedule below.  This is not "group" training; instead it is team training, with team coaches training their teams.  Same age group teams will be training at the same site.  For instance, 3rd grade Boys & Girls teams will train on Mondays at Sprague Fields.  This means that the Sprague fields are reserved for the 3rd grade teams on Monday evenings.  I understand that we may not be able to have 100% participation by all age appropriate teams due to scheduling conflicts, but my hope is to be able to help as many coaches as possible with their training sessions.

Purposes:

Coach Development - DOC can be on site to oversee and assist age group coaches.  DOC will review the weekly practice plan with coaches prior to the training session.  This environment provides the opportunity for player and coach evaluation as well.

Player Development - DOC can work with players in conjunction with team coaches providing age appropriate training from the WUSC training curriculum.

Intramural Play - Teams can scrimmage other teams in their age group.
