Do you have a concessions stand?

We have a fully stocked Concessions tent serving Starbucks coffee and pastries for breakfast, hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch, and a large supply of water, soda and sports drinks to make sure everyone stays hydrated throughout the weekend. Candy, fruit and other snacks are also available for sale at reasonable prices. Tournament T-shirts also available.

What time will our games be?

With 3 games each day and games that begin every hour, a team typically will start at either 9 a.m., 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. and play games with a 1-2 hour break in between. The games that start the earliest, finish the earliest in the afternoon. The last games each day start at 4 p.m. All teams will play six 40 minute games (20 minutes per half with 5 minutes at half) structured as follows: on the first day of the tournament, teams will be separated into pools of equal competitiveness. The teams will be re-distributed for the second day of play to facilitate more equitable and competitive play. This format is unique to our tournament and will provide the greatest opportunity for all teams to enjoy a positive competitive experience.

When will the game schedule be available?

We hope to have the schedule available at least a week prior to the tournament.

What is a patch tournament?

Each team should bring 14-16 patches for each of their 6 games. You can purchase the patches from your own soccer club. At the end of each game, the players and coaches will swap patches with the opposing team.

Where should we park?

There is a detailed parking and field map on our website. Please follow the parking restriction signs on neigboring streets and use one of the designated parking areas.

Why are there no playoffs and tournament winners?

Following the Mass. Youth Soccer guidelines, tournaments in Massachusetts cannot offer results-oriented play for age groups in U10 or below. We offer a unique and original format where we regroup the teams for Sunday's games based on their results from Saturday games to make sure that every team has even competition on Sunday. This allows for some recreational focus on the results and a chance for many many teams to come back on the second day and feel like they have a fresh start, whether they won or lost on Saturday. All players receive trophies to be presented by their coach after the last game.

What is the advantage to this U10 only tournament?

Without the emphasis on results and with all games at one venue, this this tournament is a festival atmosphere that is warm and welcoming to 48 teams of 3rd and 4th graders. While the games are very competitive, the players and parents enjoy the relaxed bonding experience. The focus of the entire tournament is geared to this younger age group.
