Coaching Courses
In an effort to increase a comfort level in the coaching business and to foster confidence in the coaching arena, WUSC takes a strong stand on coaching education for those adults who wish to coach our WUSC youth players. It is important that our young people have the best coaches/teachers possible during their tenure as players at WUSC.
Tom Goodman strongly recommend that all of our coaches get licensed by Massachusetts Youth Soccer according to the following:
G License (4 hour course) – for coaches of Grades K-2
F License (8 hour course) – for coaches of Grades 3-6
E License (16 hour course) – for coaches of Grades 7-8
D License (32 hour course) – for coaches who want more!
The courses are progressional…you must have the previous license in order to enroll in the next license course.
WUSC covers the cost of all licensing for WUSC coaches. Therefore, your sacrifice would be the time allotment in your busy schedules. But it is a sacrifice well worth the time. The confidence that you will garner from the education will certainly benefit your players on the field.
WUSC will offer the following courses in Wellesley on Sunday, September 9th, 2012 at Bates School:

“Coaching education is an investment in the development of our youth players. Please take advantage of these educational opportunities. Completion of this training will be given strong consideration in selection of coaches in future years and also helps to provide a strong soccer experience for all the players.”
