For the fall 4th grade program we are both maintaining the successful format of Premier League team practice and intra-league play two times a week (WPL), and offering an option for those interested players to play at a highly competitive league play level through weekend play in the North East Soccer League (NSL) in the WPL Club program.

As with Premier League team play, WPL Club  team signups will be open to all players (see specific commitment level requirements below). However, for the WPL Club team, players will be placed by the Premier League Committee on teams based on age group and ability and a pre-season Assessment session. This team is being offered to players in addition to, NOT instead of, their Premier League teams and town teams.   

4th Grade WPL CLUB Program Details:

• Format: 4th Grade – 9v9
• Roster of 12-15 players
• Placement will be determined by grade (not calendar year).
• Games played on Sunday in the NSL (Northeast Soccer League) Sept 9 - Nov 11
• Locations: Elm Bank (home); Within 1 hour travel (away, roughly)
• Times: 4.00pm-5.30pm; This includes 4.00-5.00pm WPL training and intra-team play followed by WPL Club team practice 5.00-5.30pm on both days.
• Assessments to determine team placement will be held on August 26th at Elm Bank: 3:00-4:15pm for 4th grade boys, 4:15-5:30pm for 4th grade girls.

Fall 2018 Dates/Times 

Both WPL and WPL Club  teams will be coached by the team of New England Revolution coaches. As has been a hallmark of Premier League, your child will have a consistent coach throughout the season, with an written evaluation at the end of each season.

WPL will offer separate signup for the 2019 Spring season.  Details will be posted shortly.

Tournaments will be spread out throughout the year and will be optional. You can check out the tournament page (coming soon) and we will have the year set out for which tournaments are open to different age groups.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: In order to be eligible to play on WPL Club team, all players must commit to participating fully in the 2 days of the Premier League program every week, as well as their town practice and game, and the WPL Club team Sunday game. If your son or daughter cannot make a consistent commitment to Premier League program and Wellesley Town Soccer this fall due to other conflicts or activities, then signing up for the WPL Club teams would not be an appropriate option for your player.
