 Program Description:

 The Kindergarten Program will provide seven 45-minute sessions of age appropriate team practice activities and games for Wellesley’s Kindergarten players. Players are assigned to a team of 6-7 players and each team is a different color. They play a small sided (3v3) game each week against a different team.

WHO: Player who will be in Kindergarten in fall 2023.  Players must live in Wellesley or attend school in Wellesley.

WHERE:   Girls and Boys played at Sprague field. Players will get team assignment via email around Sept. 10. 

WHEN: Saturday mornings Boys play 8:30-9:15 a.m, Girls play 8:30-9:15am. Fall season runs for 7 weeks (Sept. 16, 23, 30, Oct. 14, 21, 28, Nov 4) with no soccer on Oct. 7.
Many parent coaches are needed!  Sign up to coach when you register your child.  Coaches will be emailed training plans and will need to arrive 15 minutes ahead to review lesson plan for the day. There are no additional practices during the week.

COST: Fee is $150.  Early Registration discount ends on Aug. 1st with a late fee of $25 per player assessed after that date.   Payment is by credit card only.  Our credit card payment is very secure. Credit card numbers are not stored in the system and encryption is used.
Deadline to register is Aug.1st.  After that date, room on a teams is not guaranteed.

REFUND POLICY for Grade K: Full refund (less $10 processing fee) up to August 1, 50% refund up to Aug 15th, no refund after August 15th unless fall season is canceled.

WHAT you need : All players and coaches will be given a uniform t shirt.  Shin pads are required.  Cleats are recommended.  Players should bring a ball to practice. Size 3 ball is recommended.

VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED!: Parents can sign up to volunteer as a head or assistant coach when you register your child.  If you would like to sign up after your registration was done, please log back into your registration account to volunteer.  Coaches should plan to arrive at field 20 minutes prior to players to review lesson plan with training director.

 TEAM PLACEMENT: For grades K-3, age group coordinators try to set up teams with two players from a school together. Teams are mixed with at least 2 schools per team. Requests can not be made to be placed with a specific friend or coach. Head and assistant coaches can make a request to be paired together.

Please note The Wellesley United Soccer Club has a policy against accepting requests for specific placement or grouping of players or for specific coaches. While we clearly understand that parents have the best intentions in mind, with hundreds of players per grade the many specific requests that would inevitably be made would make it very difficult , if not impossible, to put teams together.
